Just Cause laws put neighbors and rental homes at risk

An interesting op-ed ran last week in The Lens focused on the risks which Just Cause laws pose to neighbors and other risks, from the perspective of an attorney who has litigated many cases involving the types of harms which can arise when it's difficult and time consuming to remove a problem renter.
The issue is a timely one as the Washington State legislature consider HB 2453 which would force landlords in to perpetual lease renewals with renters, and severely restrict an owners' ability to remove a problem renter in a timely manner.
